What Is Coaching?
The International Coaching Federation (ICF) defines coaching as the partnering of coaches and clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires clients to maximize their personal and professional potential.
Coaching creates the capacity for continuous improvement, development and success through supporting people and organizations to make best use of their knowledge, insight, vision, creativity, sensibility, and vast ability to learn and develop.
Coaching is not therapy, counseling, consulting, advising or mentoring! Coaching is not about what the coach delivers. It is about what the client creates!
Coaching is a partnership. It is about the client’s discovery, awareness and choice! And coaches are tasked with helping the clients to empower themselves to find their own choices and work toward their own solutions, goals, and satisfactory results and outcomes.
Coaching is therefore and honest conversation between the client and the coach. Even though this is a partnership, the focus is on the client. The coach helps to draw out the potential because all the answers lie within the client. Coaching is about possibilities in the sense that if the client wants it to be… then it is possible. The client chooses and sets the destination, the coach helps the client to select and decide on the path and the client walks the path to get to the destination.
Very insightful and easy to move around. Found the information uploaded so far very useful..like that I can listen to videos. Not too good yet at using blogs but will get there.
Will there be a private space for individual clients who want to ask a question without being part of a blog for privacy?

(1) There will be a private forum for clients and subscribers where information can be shared and questions can be answered both by the coaches and by members in the forum. (2) If there is a very private question specifically only for the coaches – you can send us a private/confidential email to info@CaribCoaching.com.
